January 28th, A Remix
u find yourself seeing double? Suffering from Des-a-vou? Yes I'm uploading the same picture again BUT as you can see one of these is not like the other. Here is my super sweet version of the same picture. Don't you love Photo Shop?!

January 29th Its 'A parrot' I'm lost
I was wondering around the horticulture building trying to find their freshly bloomed orchids. My friend, Ryan, had taken some beautiful pictures of them but I couldn't find them. As I journeyed down the empty corridor I started to hear chatter- I hoped it was someone that could direct me better. Instead I found a this feathered friend.
January 30th, Panoramic Grounds
Have I mentioned how much I love Photo Shop?! All I had to do for this elongated shot: Step 1, take three pictures. Step 2, load them onto photoshop. Done and Done. I them tweaked colors and such. I had to size it done ALOT to even upload to my blog.

January 27, Hazed in Love
We were driving to meet some friends and I was literally sitting there with my camera in my lap thinking, "what am I going to take a picture of?" I drew on the window and waited for a red light.
January 26, The Lighter Side of Evil
Last time Mom and Dad were in Spain they brought me back these two figurines that I LOVE: an angel and a devil. Because of their expressions its a blast to take pictures of them.

My poor Neglected blog!

So much for New Years Resolutions,eh? Now is the time for me to, uh, jump back on the wagon! I have been taking pictures everyday, mostly for my Photography class, which has been taking up the majority of my happy creative time. Now is the time for me to make my repentant updates. Here are the past 18 pictures that hadn't made it onto my blog before this. They are varying degrees of 'good'. HERE ya go! Religious Freedom
After I dropped off Ben at class I noticed the temple was in a beautiful haze of fog and snow.

Chocolate-dipped Sunshine
Driving to my in laws, Matt & Tate's, to return a chocolate mold. The sun was setting and I used it's light to illuminate the mold.

Fallen in Color
These are the leaves from my tree that I've posted previously. I loved how they all looked on my coffee table.

Are you a weed?
For a Flora and Fauna project for class we needed to get some flora shots. Being that it is rexburg and -5 there isn't much "free range" plants to pick from. So I went down to the local flower market and they let me into their back room and take pics there! There so many flowers there I felt a little like Alice in Wonderland.
Bunches of Roses
Again from the flower market. It was hard to get the 'white balance' right because they had two different light sources. Thank you photoshop, I'll be editing my pics with you shortly.

Pure Elyse
My bestie friend Elyse's favorite flowers are Gerber daisies so I had to get a shot of them!

Swirled-Aid
You know you're photography obsessed when: you postpone dinner to take pictures of the foam pattern in your drink.

Train-Ffitie
Who doesn't love graffiti on train cars. See Kris Evans for detailed removal analysis

This really isn't the best picture in the world, BUT, I was walking through campus and this sign gave me a little skip in my step for the day.

Cobbled Cracks
This path is also on the BYUI campus. I loved the tile layout they did. The curvature of the road was perfectly masked out by the snow.

Seeds of Spring
Gives me hope that SOMEDAY this snow will melt and this seeds will be able to grow!

Emily in Red
Also for class we needed to do a color theme. I picked red because it is obviously the best color. My lovely friend Emily helped by throwing on my coat and letting me photograph her while she walked in the 'Gardens'. We got a lot of good ones that day, but this is one of my favorites.

Reese's Rotation
Also for that same color study I took a picture of a Reese's peanut butter cup. I hated. So I then slowed the shutter speed, turned off all the lights except for one over head lamp, and spun the chocolate. This picture came out WAY better then I hoped.

Framing Flourishes
While waiting in between classes I discovered a conference room that is beautifully decorated, but rarely used. The had hung very ornate paintings in there. Is it wrong to photograph a picture? Its like recycling art!

Linear Drapes
I have no idea why, but I really like this picture.

Call to Doors
Every time I go to take pictures of the temple -IT SNOWS. It may have largely to do with that I live in Idaho. I plan to tweak this photo a bit and then get it framed for my house. Who needs to buy paintings when its WAY better to create your own?

Sprung and Alone
I didn't notice until after I got back home that this little seedling had invaded my picture of the frozen branches. It was nice of him to drop by because he added the perfect amount of color.

Poor Theodore
Meet Theodore. His is my niece and nephew's bichon. This dog is well played with every minute of every day. When the kids go to sleep Theo crashes as well! Such a good puppy. (fyi, the carpet looks like that because I polarized it in PhotoShop to give it an exhausted effect)
You've read through (or at leas skimmed through) this who blog post. Thank you!!

Updates Updates Updates!

January 07, 2011 Tri Color Day Italy
I'm not 100% sure if Tri Color Day literally means to get three colors, but it did for me! This is a very loved "charlie brown" Christmas tree in front of Matt (my brother-in-law's house). Count the colors green, red, blue!
January 6, 2011 Haile Selasie Birthday
How better to celebrate a Rastafarian's birthday then to make munchies! Nancy (my mother-in-law) came over and showed me how to make some truly spectacular chocolates. These are our chocolate covered peanut clusters.

January 5, 2011 National Bird Day
Its hard to take a picture of a bird when there are no birds around! So, again, I had to let my creative juices flow. This is a picture of the building where I pretty much live in when I'm at school- the Spori Building! Its basically a square doughnut, hollow center and all. For national Bird day I give you: Bird's eye view!

Wow, this every other day post seems to be sticking!

January 04, 2011 11 Pipers Pipping

What does this picture have to do with 11 pipers pipping?! Nothing! Its the solution to: a oblong blank wall, left of scrap booking paper, 85 paint samples from wallmart, a pair scissors, and a couple hours of good movies! It took a lot of work but now my living room is so pretty!
January 03, 2011 10 Lords a leaping

I was really hoping that some random dance class would be in session for this picture, but the semester doesn't start until the 5th so no such luck. However I was in a biblically long line to get some paper work done before classes start and 'ta-da' my 10 lords a waiting picture. I had to crop it so that it wasn't 10 butts a sagging picture!

January 02, 2011 Black and White Photo
Ben and I moved into our new apt!! As is tradition we make the same meal as we made our first night in our first residence together: chicken, veggies, and rice! The dinner of champions and by champions I mean poor champions. :)

First day of the project! January 01, 2011 Take a picture of something new to you
This was an absolutely new experience for myself. On new years eve Ben and I found ourselves at our in-law Matt and Tate's house. It was so cold that night that when you blew bubbles they would freeze in mid-air and crack like eggs on the ground! I wasn't lucky enough (or stayed out long enough) to get a good picture of the bubbles cracking, but here are a few of them completely frozen.
